Payment Plans

Morse & Associates, LLC offers payment plans to their clients. Our structure is rather informal. Clients simply pay what they can when they can until their attorney fees and filing fees are paid. Many firms set structured monthly payments of a certain amount every month due which are due on a particular day of the month. We can offer this as well, if a client prefers, but it has been our experience that such rigid structure in payment plans leads to poor results for a basic reason.

If your finances and disposable cash were going smoothly enough to allow for such a rigid payment, then you probably would not be interested in filing a bankruptcy. In many cases, people have expenses and life events that arise unexpectedly. When the firm on a rigidly structured payment plan deducts money from the client’s account, it can then lead the client to have NSF charges on their account or remove monies that the client would rather have spent elsewhere that particular month.

People filing for bankruptcy understand the general principle that the sooner they can pay for their bankruptcy the sooner it can be filed, and as such, the sooner the madness of debt can be ended. Since it is in every bankruptcy client’s best interest to pay their fees sooner rather than later, there is enough motivation without rigid payment policies.
