Consultations - The Basics

Morse & Associates begins every bankruptcy case with a free initial consult. While many firms charge for their initial consults, at Morse & Associates we do not believe that you should charge for legal advice before you are certain that the legal advice can be of some benefit to the person to whom it is being given. At your consult, you will learn several key facts regarding your case.

First you will learn whether or not bankruptcy is the best option for you. If bankruptcy is the best option for you, you will learn which chapter of consumer bankruptcy would best fit your situation and help you achieve your goals. Most commonly, our clients file Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 consumer bankruptcies. The attorney conducting your consultation will be able to let you know exactly how much your bankruptcy will cost you - total. The attorney conducting the consultation will also be able to tell you what documents you will need to provide to facilitate your bankruptcy.

When you leave your consultation, you will have a good grasp of whether you need to file bankruptcy, what chapter you need to file, what documents you will need to produce, how much your bankruptcy will cost you and most importantly what the process will entail so that you can proceed with confidence and full knowledge of the process.
